I accidentally posted this over in the March thread first by accident forgetting that its April already. I guess that makes me the April Fool
Anyway, here is mine for the day. It's a sculpture thingy.

I'm planning on heading to the Game Farm (like a zoo run by the Department of Fish and Wildlife) tomorrow morning, so hopefully I will have a bunch of new stuff to share.

But if no one called 911, they could be in violation of local laws that make it a crime to ignore a violent crime.
There is no legal duty to assist, and laws requiring otherwise are unconstitutional and thus unenforceable.

To chose a 4G phone over an iPhone in 2011 is a poor choice and the result of marketing and nothing more. Unless you live in spot with great 4G service and never plan to leave the house, you won't see average speeds any faster than an AT&T iPhone. Not to mention your web browser won't render pages half as fast as Safari, so speed differences are utterly negated.
Plus the fact that few countries have 4G networks. Apple cares about selling worldwide and many markets aren't ready for that

I would buy this immediately. No more crappy Edge service on my iPhone. It's a chore to load anything on it, even google maps and simple web pages.

OK, stop it already! Enough with the iPhone 5 / iPad 3 release date rumors, or put it on page 2.
thank you.

It doesn't really matter at this point. Black or white, it's the iPhone. It'll still sell out.

First of all, you can do that on an iPhone already. There are any number of ways to do that. Full keyboard? Yeah, tons of people want those... that's why they're selling so well!
Yes. I am sure the number 3-25 top selling smartphones all have hardware keyboards.
The 1 and 2 are both Apple iPhones and they don't have them though.
I suspect the sales figures of the iPhone 4 and 3GS probably surpass the top 8-10 Android devices combined.
That is called marketplace domination. Clearly a lot of people here don't have much business experience or understand how business works, but such control of a marketplace is significant, especially given the number of devices available for sale.
Does HTC sell more smartphones than Apple? Does Motorola? How about Samsung? No, no and no.

Yup, I want one of those too. Can't think of anything else that I really want, although I've dropped enough hints all year that I want a bottle of Clase Azul Reposado!

Hmmm. I was fully convinced that dethmaShine was being totally sarcastic with his posts. Seemed obvious to me.
But I see that 5 other posters don't think so. Those are some pretty big odds...5/1...am I really right?
Yeah, I still think I am. :p
Edit: 7 now!
Well he did have the spec whore thing down and was a pretty convincing Android Fanboy as well.

I don't believe this. Why would Apple waste money on a carrier that has just been bought?
The best asset that T-Mobile USA has is its network.
AT&T will no doubt want to use that eventually - it's probably the main reason that they're buying it.
T-Mobile's 3G coverage is solely on the AWS band.
A future iPhone that could use all of the bands that AT&T/T-Mobile USA owns would provide a real boost for AT&T. It would expand their network coverage with minimal cost and no hassle of waiting for planning rules etc.

Your definition of a "professional" app seems mighty arbitrary, even to the extent of excluding most applications that exist. Specialized databases that are designed for a specific industry wouldn't meet your definition. Computer-Aided-Machining (CAM) software (which is only useful in one industry) wouldn't meet your definition. I could go on, but I think you get my point.
No, I don't get your point. CAM software is used in a variety of industries. Auto companies, airline companies, boat industries, tools industries, machine shops, agricultural industries. But if the CAM software is a mature useful standard in those industries it is probably a very capable pro app. Like wise customized databases would not be a pro app in itself. The database program used is the pro app not the specific database.
So now you're adding another level of definition to what it takes to be a "professional" app? Some percentage of people have to know about it? And where do you draw the line? Gee, I guess this means that any start-up company trying to produce a new professional application is doomed because how can they ever reach this percentage upon the release so their product can be considered "professional"?
It is not another level of defiintion. Industry standard implies that most professionals use it, Doesn't it?
Yes, it is very very difficult for a startup company to produce a competitive pro app in a mature industry. It takes several years for a product to mature and recieve user feedback and multiple modifications before I would classify it as "Pro". That is why these are difficult markets to crack.

In response to the ebay comment, why are they seemingly so dumb? ... Don't people do ANY research?
Please try to keep posts on topic. :o
I bought a kensington wireless mouse/keyboard combo yesterday for my PC. There's no chance of me returning it for this thing... I've got the wired MM and its flakey enough as it is.

iPhone 4, Kindle 3, and Apple TV all ordered around the same time. I somehow got lucky received the iPhone overnight(via AT&T) but everything else is still on order(Kindle finally shipping soon). I'm really enjoying the iPhone 4. I've had every other iPhone on release day but decided to try something different prior to this and purchased Nexus One(amazing device and very fast). I stupidly got rid f the Nexus for a Dell Streak which I hated and decided I would switch back to iPhone until the next gen of phones are out.

If the new AIR is using the same Sandy Bridge processor as the Samsung series 9, you'll be sorely disappointed with its graphics performance.
http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptops/samsung-series-9.aspx?page=3
3DMark is less than half of the Air (2188 vs 4611)
WOW ran at a miserable 14fps at 1366x768 res compared to the Air that runs at 53fps at 1440x900. Battery life is worse as well.
We knew all this Graphics stuff already like a month ago from the Engadget review.
They said the Series 9 gets 25 mins less battery life (http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/28/samsung-series-9-900x-laptop-review/).
PCMag says the Series 9 gets almost an hour MORE battery life (http://www.pcmag.com/image_popup/0,1740,iid=291739,00.asp). These reviews are all over the place, and only tell part of the story.
Yes, the graphics (aka Gaming) performance will be less. But it seems on par or better than the 9400m, which people use just fine every day in the 2008/2009 MBA/MB/MBP's.
And regarding Battery life - we have no idea what Voodoo Apple puts into the power optimization of it's laptops.
All we can empirically say at this point is that the (U)LV i5/i7 chips with IGP consume about 21W TDP, which is less than the SL9400/9600+320m combo which some have pegged at over 30W TDP. The laws of physics seem to dictate that since it draws up to 10W less power and would (presumably) have the same battery, a SB MBA would have more battery life than a C2D MBA.

Apple really really needs to get on this... As far as some Script Kiddie wanting to make a name for themself the mass of mac users would need to be higher. There are still currently not enough mac users to warrent such acts, you would not get notice. I feel that a lot of coders find holes in XP because then they can exploit big business, were as macs are more often than not home computers. If apple its athe big 10% mark this will all change.

This is news????
I thought based on all the other reports it was a fore gone conclusion that there will not be any IP5 this summer.
as always, spot on.
it has all but been confirmed for a while now.

If this requires case manufacturers to make a case specifically for the white iPhone on both carriers, I wouldn't be surprised if they just said screw it, were not making one. Apple released the white iPhone because they said they would, I don't think enough will be sold where it makes sense for case makers.
